??BMR k member 4 manual rack needs WELDING?

??BMR k member 4 manual rack needs WELDING? Bmr lists a k member with mounts for a pinto manual rack set-up. Yet I just called thunder racing to order <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> and Chris there told me that the BMR k member FOR PINTO MANUAL RACK would STILL require welding?????
