2002 Trans Am

Guys I have this squeeking noise under my car, its real loud and annoying. It sounds like it is coming from under the rear half of the car. It makes the noise when I am usually going over a bump or something.

A little background on my car. Its an 02, has stock suspension. A little bit about the weather over here, its been F@cking freezing here, below 0 degrees with the wind chill for the past couple of days. Also the day before I noticed the sound my mother drove it all day, so I don't know what happened that day.

Mine does it to bro, BUT only when its really cold. When it gets in the 30's here is when mine starts up, if its 0 there thats definately why. Its the rear suspension, swaybar, bushings, something. Annoying it is, but its nothing to worry about IMO. It'll go away when it warms up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Damn that old man winter, why don't you just go away already......It sounds like it is coming from the LCAs......Maybe if I am lucky, this weather is the last spurt, then the sun will start shining again <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I understand what you're talking about. When thing get that cold metal contracts, and those tight dimensions get looser. So, things squeak and rattle like a ***** on Saturday night. I would use a good lubricant that has good cold or subzero properties.

Hey Trans Am, I'm from Elizabeth, NJ and have an '02 Z28. Same sh*t from my rear too. Can't stand it!! But like everyone has said, it's the cold weather, nothing to worry about. Can't wait till spring!!
