for the rear, I read somewhere on here before that you don't have to pull the axles, but its easy enough to pull them so I did.

install of studs:
- pound the old one out
- slip new one in
- throw a stack of washers on stud
- put your lug nut on the stud
- impact her down

later,
Steve

I noticed the ARP studs have a measurment of 12mm X 1.5, 2.5" length.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that means:

12mm bolt

1.5" of thread

2.5" overall length

is that all correct? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Are there any longer studs that are direct replacement?

It is really recommended that you press studs in (less chance of damage to the mounting holes or other hardware). I know that nobody actually does this anymore, but it really is a good idea. Other quick note, make sure the knurled portion of the stud does not stick out past the mounting surfaces (axle flange, etc), you can have strange brake problems when the rotors are press fit to the knurls on the wheel studs.....Just my $.02

Good luck
