Default trimin the springs

Ok, i've heard of people trimming their stock springs to get them a bit lower. However, something doesn't seem to make sense here. The top and bottom coils are flat, so that they line up and sit flush with the spring lands. How does this work when you've trimmed the springs???

so people heat the cut spring end and then push on it or hit it with a hammer. But I think it would be better to but the poly spring bushings that you see in summit and swap it out with the stock rubber bushing. should lower it about 1" I think and still keep the stock ride.

2FAST4U - I'm having some trouble reading why you posted... are you saying that summit has something that will help? I'm trying to lower the front of my car, BTW.
