K-member and Subframe ???

K-member and Subframe ??? I just had a BMR K-member, tubular weld subframe connectors, BMR LCA's, and tunnel brace installed on my '02 Z28. The rest of the suspension is still stock. With these mods, when I hit bumps and potholes (thats the one's I can't avoid) should it sound a little bit louder and you can kind of feel them a little more?? Just wondering, it's really not a big deal though. Thanks for the imput everyone.

Re: K-member and Subframe ??? yes, the body is stiffer so it responds harsher to bumps. A soft (unstiffened) body actually acts as a 5th spring absorbing shocks. My car with a K-member, subframes, and a 6 point roll bar creaks and almost sounds like a steel drum over bumpy roads.

My car is so stiff (chassis and suspension) that today on my drive home from school, it was raining and I could actually feel the car was about to brake loose (hydroplane) before it actually did. It was helpful....but scarry....... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> ...RAIN NO FUN!!!! <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

Re: K-member and Subframe ??? Thanx Chris, I pretty much figured it was normal but just wanted to be 100% sure. It feels 100 times better with the chassis stiffened, even though it takes bumps differently. Thanx again Chris. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
