What are the best thing/s to get if you want better handling? <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

On a budget, I'd do a panhard rod and a strut tower brace. The strut tower brace seems to eliminate much of the "cowl shake" that f-bodies have (here goes another strut tower brace discussion) the panhard rod will help keep the rear end where it belongs while cornering. After that, you are looking at springs and shocks and rear lower control arms, a performance alignment, etc.....and don't forget brakes! Just my thoughts...I'm sure you'll get some other ideas as well. Good luck!

Want better handling?
Get a good alignment. Shoot for these specs ...
+4 caster
-1 Camber
0 toe

You will be amazed at how much improvement there is. And, regardless of what the tech tells you, you will NOT wear out your tires.

Next in line is tires. A good sticky tire can compensate for an ill-handling car or an over driving operator. Nitto makes a good DOT tire and I've heard good things about the BFG KDs.

After that, springs and shocks. There are too many reportings of Eibach's sagging in the rear and I feel as though the rear rate is way too soft. MAny will proclaim how great re-valving Bilsteins are, but on the street, I just don't see the minute differences in re-valved and OTS HDs making that much of a difference. I've had great luck with my G2 Super Springs (replaced my sagging Eibach Pros) and Bilstien HDs.

Now it would be time for sway bars, sub-frame connectors, poly/rod LCAs and PHB.

Springs, shocks, subs, LCAs and PHB will make the most of your alignment and new tires. It will be very easy to over-drive the car because it feels so solid. I found this out because I was wearing my tires at an alarming rate. I bought a pyrometer and began tracking my tire temps.

I tuned my suspension with sway bars (1LE 32/21) and tire pressures.

Now, tire wear is fantastic and my lap times have dropped way down and very consistant.

This is the order I would go in:

1 ) Get a good "performance" alighnment. I am running:

+4 caster
-0.8 camber (am going to go up to -1 next alighnment)
1/16" toe in

2) Get an adjustable, rod end panhard rod. Noise increase is minimal and performance increase is AMAZING! (I have the Z Rated Motorsports Aluminum version)

3) strut tower brace (I have the Hotchkins..sp)

4) New springs and shocks

5) subframe connectors (have SLP bolt-ons...going to weld on)

6) LCAs and LCA relocation brackets.(I have BMR rod end LCAs and bolt on brackets)

7) wide tires (have take off factory Z06 rims/tires)
