Default vette brakes on f body

hey i have a set of vette calipers (Front), how do i get them to mount on an fbody?. thanks in advance for the help.

I think they are the exact same design, just differenct casting techniques. To me the most obvious way is to unbolt a caliper (don't undo the brake line yet). Then try and bolt the Vette caliper on. If it fits, just swap the lines over from the factroy calipers and blead the system. If it does not, then you will know what needs to be changed (it may be a bolt size difference).

The width of the C5 rotor is significantly wider than the F-Body rotor.

While it MIGHT be OK with brand new pads, as the pads wear, the caliper pistons and the guide pins extend out, it appears you might run into probalems with the piston leaking by or getting jammed in the bore.

I don't think I would do that ...
