Default BAD Wheel hop after Moser install! Help!!

After stripping the gears in my 10 bolt last season and replacing it with a Moser 12-bolt, I went to the track for the first time in a while on Sat.

Here are my mods that I've done since last run at the track last year:

MAF Ends
MAF Translator
1LE Trans Mount
Moser 12-bolt 30 spline rear with posi and 4.10's (same gears as in my 10 bolt)

I used to be able to launch at 4000 rpms and have no problem taking off down the track.

Sat., I was launching at 2500 rpms and getting awful wheel hop on launch and on 1st to 2nd shift. I even tried launching at 2000 and still got wheel hop.

I haven't checked my LCA's or Panhard to see if they're torqued to spec, but I do know they were pretty dang tight under there. I'm probably going to take them off and retorque them under load to make sure there's no binding at all.

I'm thinking though that it may be b/c the Moser is heavier and perhaps the stock torque arm and stock shocks aren't enough for this rear. I was thinking of getting Koni SA's or at least Bilsteins and a torque arm (Edelbrock/G2?). I'd prefer an arm that was on the trans still since that seems best for autocross.

Anyone else have this trouble since they replaced their rear and find a fix??

Yeah, I just got a Moser 12-bolt/33 spline/Eaton HD Posi/4.10s, and I'm getting some wheelhop, too!
The rear passenger tire is breaking loose and hopping in 1st gear on takeoffs from a stop.

I think it's my tires however; Nitto 245/50/16 DRs. I don't think they can hold traction anymore, so I'm going to try BFG 275/50/15 DRs and see what happens with those.

I have a BMR torque arm, Hotchkiss LCAs, and I'm sure their torqued properly, so I'm pretty confident it's the tires.

You look like you've got the right suspension parts and have checked them. Maybe it could be your tires as well.

Good Luck with yours, I'll post after I've tried the different DRs.

Hmm, shouldn't be the Nittos though.
They're almost new and were perfect before the rear change (same gears).
The funny thing is, even when I was doing my burnout and dumped the clutch at 2000 rpms, I got wheel hop before they started slipping.
I'm still wondering if the rear is too heavy for the stock decarbons......

Still like to know if the new tires help at all .

Actually, I have access to some ET streets on Weld draglites, so I'm gonna put those on tonite and see if that stops the hopping. If that works then the BFGs will probably work too! There both the same width and similar tire compound.
