Default Rotor weights?

Does anybody have weights for different rotors? How much heavier are the aftermarkets than the stock ones usually?

I have never weighed a set personally. The only info I can give you is that I seem to remember one drag racer that posted on this board to say that he took his rotors from 20lbs each to 18lbs each by turning them to the minimum thickness (I don't suggest this approach..but It may give you food for thought). I suspect that they will all be close in weight (maybe a range of 1.5 to 2 lbs between them all). Just my random thoughts....good luck!

the shipping weight on my roto-techs was 35lbs and i weighed my stock rotors in the same boxes the rototechs came in and the scale said 46lbs. had my roto-techs for months. i dont track race but ive stopped from 100mph sometimes twice in 2-3 minutes numerous times with no warping so far. btw, theyre like 150 bucks for the front pair from some sponsor on here on the other board. high performance associates i think? so 11lbs lighter and they dont warp good buy for me <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Stock to standard aftermarket - nil.

Stock to eraispeeds. That is the only option to really save weight with stock thickness. It is probably <2 per rotor. I have never had them, and the Al alloy is a weight benefit.

I would really like to save the weight. But concerned about the increased heat transfer to the hub. They are costly as well.

Note Wilwood has an Al hat as well, but you have to use their brakes.

MTI claims on there website that you save 15-20 lbs per set (Eradispeeds)..

Just check it out because of the hat they use....
