so i went to auto zone today, and was planning on replacing my stock front rotors w/ their aimco rotors($40).
then i looked on application possibilities to my car, and there was another style rotor called the "aimco extreme rotor". anyone have these, and if so what do you think about them? i know that they are drilled and slotted. i ALSO have heard that slotted is a good thing, but drilled isnt nessecarily(prone to cracking and stress fractures).......
SOOOO....basically i wanted to get some of you guys opinions on these rotors??
btw the aimco extreme's are like 90 a piece, and i wouldnt have to pay shipping on them or anything like the infamous "powerslots"
thanks,
Tim

yea. i mean i think they look great, but i am worried about the cracking on them. i want a rotor that is gonna last.
i taled to my auto-x buddy last night and he said stay away from them, but then again he is goin to some porsche rotors or somthing that is WAY over my head, so i dunno, will these be ok for street use mainly, and about 2 times a month going to the drag strip and heavy braking???
i am worried about the longevity...thats all..

Either price is cheap. It sounds like your concern is cost. Get the cheapest AZ ones.
Have you checked what the dealer wants for a rotor? ;-)
