bear brake systems.... ADVICE I have a 1998 camaro.. i want to install the bear brake system.. was looking at the 6 pistion.. but i was told that i should go to 4 because the braking is too power full for the car and abs will not work right... any truth to this?? I wanted 6 in front and 2 in back. I know you have to upgrade rims... any one know the max size i can put on the car for the back and fron (2 diffrent sizes are ok).. was thing 17x10 fromnt and 18X9.5 in back??? <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" />
Re: bear brake systems.... ADVICE I would talk to Bear's tech staff, but you shouldn't see any problems with the change that I can think of. The ABS should compensate for the grip, it measures wheel rotation (and the diference between wheels) not line pressure vs. deceleration. I have seen my abs inop light on my car after making hard stops from 100mph where the abs engaged (I was de-glazing pads), but I turned off the car and restarted it and the light was gone.
