Default I got screwed.

Well, I dont want to blame it on the seller, but I bought an SLP torque arm from a member on the board here back in may of this year.

He packaged the torque arm itself in one and then said he packed the hardware, including the angle finder, bracket and poly bushing or what not into another parcel and shipped them seperately but at the same time.

Well I got the arm itself in a reasonable amount of time, but the hardware parcel hasnt arrived or what have you and its now august, he has filed a claim and still not much is happening.

So now all I have is a black metal torque arm, with nothing else that attaches to it.

Is there any way I could get this hardware somehow, Im heading to the races in a couple of weeks, and these things arent cheap. Id really like to have it on for when I hit the track.

Thanks guys.

I'd check with SLP, even is it's not listed on their site
they might have replacement parts. The angle finder,
that's about 10 bucks from BMR (OK) or Home Depot
(sucks). As far as the bushing if it's a round snout you
may find replacements at BMR, Random Tech, etc. The
UMI non-adjustable TA looks to use the stock style "W"
bushing although they provide you a poly one. My
Random Tech uses a round hole bushing but the stock
clamshell tailshaft mount.

Yeh the bushing is a round snout. The only other thing thats a major issue, is the mounting bracket for the rear diff. I dont even have that. From what I can tell, it threads INTO the arm itself.

So what you're saying is that you only the A-arm part of the T/A and the bracket that attaches the T/A to the rear is missing also?

If so, you're correct - you got screwd. At this point you might as well buy another T/A. It's one thing to pick up some bolts and a bushing - it's quite another to get the rear mounting bracket. Is this bar supposed to be adjustable? If so, the bracket would also need the threaded rods/nuts that connect the rear mount to the bar.

The bushing and rear torque arm mount are going to have to purchased from SLP. I wish I could help but unfortunatly we use the stock bushing set-up and I am sure are rear bracket is different. See what SLP says and go from there, they are going to charge you for it if they can sell it.

You can also see if the seller has that piece sitting around, if he didn't send the rear mounting bracket that just isn't right of him.

Hope that helps,
Ryan

Ouch, SLP just shot me down huge. I was willing to buy the parts seperately from them, but they said that since I didnt buy it directly from them that they wont help me. I said that was pretty harsh, and he then started to go on about how it's buyer beware, etc etc.

I didnt need a lesson in internet security, I just wanted to buy some parts so I could race my car. He told me I could try to fab it up myself. Things arent looking up.
