Default Roll cage / sub frame cont. question

I'm looking at getting in on a GP from tbyrne.com on a 6 point roll cage. I've got a convertible, and heres my question. If I have a roll cage, would I still need subframe connectors? Would a roll cage stiffen up the frame enough? Thanks.

In a convertible, I'd absolutely do subframe connectors (make sure they are made for convertibles). If you are going to do a cage as well, even better. But I think I'd do connectors with a cage if it were me. Good luck!

If I have the roll cage, which subframe connecters would be suffiecnt > Diamond or the straight type? This will be a 6 point bolt in cage.

Personally, I don't think you can make a convertible (or any F-body) too stiff. I'd go with the diamond type (if they fit a convertible...I haven't looked but I wasn't sure that they would fit). I'm running SLP's on my T-top car and it made a tremendous difference.

get both....the subframes and the roll cage go hand and hand. I have both and would never give either one up. More steel = less flex (although you do get more weight <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> ).

Get the Kenny Brown Double Diamond subs for verts and wolfe 6 point weld-in. That is what i purchased and seems to be the best way to stiffen up a vert.
