I did my brakes last week and made this tool to push the pucks back into the caliper. It worked quite well and was a breeze to operate. Sometimes I amaze myself.
Had to hold a wrench on the nut on the inside while tightening the bolt head. I tightened until the puck bottomed out (gently). It worked better than any c-clamps I've ever used.

I put it together on the fly, but I will make some alterations before I use it again. I'll tack weld or JBWeld a large washer onto the foot that sets into the puck. Likewise, I may use a larger diameter bolt.
Still, as it sits, it felt clean and capable.
