Default E-bach pro-kit hows the ride

Pro-kit on f-body hows the ride quality is it like riding in a low rider real bouncy or it real sporty but not too harsh?

The ride quality of the Pro Kit is capable of being quite good. The deciding factor is the shocks that are paired with those springs. If you use the stock DeCarbons, it will be a little on the bouncy side. If you go with a set of aftermardket shocks, it will be considerably better. Some shocks are "stiffer" than others. I may suggest a Tokico Illumina 5 or something similar (www.ground-control.com), the SLP Bilstiens, etc. There are lots of opinions on shocks on this board, I like my Koni DA's, but the price makes them somewhat impractical for most street cars. Ask around about what shocks everyone is using with the Pro Kit (or other similar lowering springs). Hope this is helpful....Good Luck.

since the springs are progressive, over most small bumps they are smoother than stock but over rought spots where the springs have to compress more the ride is a little rough. the performance is there when you need it, and the smoothness is there when you need it. but, to each is own. I like the ride of mine.

so really the deciding factor on how a lowered car rides is the shocks? Not how low the car actually is to the ground, because I would like to lower my car just barley not touching the tires.I dont mind sacrificing some ride quality just not alot to were it ride rough

On a lowered car, when a tire hits a bump and "bounces" toward the car, you have much less room for the shock to control that wheel, slow it down and let it return to the ground (before it slams into the bumpstops, and really makes the ride rough). It takes a shock with "stiffer" valving to do this. That will translate into a rougher ride (firmer ride?). If the car keeps hitting the bumpstops, it will really ride badly. So, the ride is a trade off between the shock valving required to keep the car from impacting the bumpstops (at least on a regular basis, all cars will hit them on occasion....that's why they exsist), and the amount of distance you have to "slow that wheels upward travel". The springs will have an impact on ride, but it is somewhat secondary to the shocks. The springs will dictate how much shock valving you need, based on spring rate and ride height. But, if you took the shocks off of your car (I know that is impossible on the front end) and drove it on just springs alone, you would see very little difference between the two (and the car would be very unstable and bouncy). That is why I say that shocks have the greatist impact on ride (and I have DA Koni's and can experiment with softer and stiffer valving and the impact it has on handling and ride....and it is alot!). Hope this helps clarify things somewhat. Good Luck!

The eibachs are stiffer than the standard springs and only the rears are progressive. I don't have them so I can't offer experience but OEMs are 292 front, eibachs are 400, oem rears are 114, eibachs are 94 - 160.

I love the way the car looks with Eibach's ProKit. It is a bit bouncier than I like, but that might be because I've run these springs with stock shocks for 2 yrs / 14K miles. Pics in the Sig
