KVR cross-drilled rotors - cracks after 1 year

After my last trip to the track my brakes have been making some noise... Upon closer inspection I now am noticing hairline cracks between the cross-drilled holes in the front rotors.
Silver cad coated KVRs, didn't even last a year.
I don't autoX or road race, in fact I pretty much granny around town for the most part. Not sure why the rotors would already be cracking. Argh !
So - anyone considering KVR rotors might want to consider this input. I was using stock GM brake pads, FWIW.
On a brighter note, I squeeked in under the GP for EDS dimpled/slotted rotors and GreenStuff pads from QTP !
Just ordered new pads and rotors all the way around - baby's gonna get some new shoes.
Too bad I had to **** away the money I was saving for drag tires to replace something I bought a year ago.
