I've got the Edlebrock. It's a great torque arm for up to a moderately modded car. The advantage to it is that it is CHEAP and good. The disadvantage is that you can't adjust it.

I've got BMR Tubular LCA's, Adjustable Chromoly Panhard Rod, and a BMR Trak-Pak Torque Arm on my car. Also used a BMR Swaybar mounting kit when I installed my moser 9". The only problem i've had thus far was a zerk-fitting that wouldn't hold grease in. Big whoop, I went to the autoparts store and bought 10 of them for 2 bucks. Haven't had any fitment issues whatsoever.

The trak-pak so far has worked wonders over the stock TA once I got it adjusted out to a -3 pinion angle. Transfers weight well enough to yank the front wheels on a 3600lb 6 speed car with hotchkis lowering springs and stock shocks all around. I can't weight to hit the track again! (Only problem i've had so far with the trak-pak is that the ground clearance kind of sucks. With hotchkis springs (lowered car about 1.25" all around), I have about 2 inches of clearance under the TA cross-brace. I'm putting the stock springs back in and a set of HAL's, I won't have anymore clearance problems after that.

I have installed on my 2001 Z28 the following BMR equipment:

Chromoloy torque arm, boxed LCA's, adjustable PHB, Tunnel brace, and STB.

ALL the BMR parts fit PERFECTLEY, and the shop that did the install, (who never heard of them) said the "quality of the parts were top knotch", all at a fraction of the cost of the G2 & Spohn, that they carried.

JMHO

With a G2 torque arm:

It's lighter weight than stock

It uses the stock mounting points and factory placement so clearance for headers, X-brace or ground is never an issue. Also, you don't have to weld or fabricate anything to mount it up.

It has a unique 3D front mount so that there is NEVER any bind.

I saw a Spohn front mount ripped right off a car when they hit some road debris. It hangs really low ...

I've also read several threads about header intereference with several of the shorter torque arms.

i got the lg on a couple weeks back, but haven't driven my car yet(roads are still sandy and im savin insurance money for mod money ), but it fits well, looks good, weighs less, has clearence(a heck of a lot better than my slp headers), but i will tell you on thing that really pissed me off...the washer on the rearend bolt furthest back has to be cut down, my father took it to his work and grinded it down...you would think w/ such an expensive piece, they could send you the 1 dollar spring loaded washer/nut combo w/ a washer that fits in the torque arm...either that or move the freekin brace over like .25"...just bantering, but overall it seems to be a good quality piece...not adjustable though

I installed the LG torque arm about six weeks ago and love it. The car seemed to hook much harder, although I have no times since the install to verify. 1st quality piece with no installation issues: instslled by myself in less than an hour. Rides 10000 time better than my friend's BMR extreme duty P.O.S.

The SLP piece looks a lot like the Random Tech torque arm? Is it a copy, or are there any major differences?

I started off with the BMR Trak Pak arm a couple of years ago (had the torque arm in my hands before the car was even built!!), and after a discussion with Lou @ LGM on the LS1.com RR/AX forum, I decided to give the LGM piece a try. Lo and behold, the car isn't as noisy, exhibits much less suspension deflection on launch (the cross brace that the front of the Trak Pak bolts to flexes pretty easily), and feels MUCH more solid while on the gas in a turn. Good stuff!!

Needless to say, the Trak Pak is sitting in my garage, collecting dust. This is not to say that the Trak Pak is a piece of crap, simply that it was not well-suited to what I am using the car for. Perhaps on a more dedicated straight-line car it would work better than it did for me... however, the G2 piece seems to be performing quite well in cars of all sorts; RR, AX, drag, street, etc...; until there is a DAMN good reason, I am not even going to consider changing it out.

I read all the time where people buy BMR because of their price and wind up with other manufacturer's parts after a while.

Don't get me wrong ... BMR pieces are quality pieces, well built and very competitively priced. But those qualities are not any good if they don't work to your expectations.

I bought BMR at first .... and then bought LG components after the fact ...

Rather than ask about brands you need need to ask about features you need.

For example, did you know ta's that mount at the factory location have a tendancy to wreck transmissions if used at the strip and at high power levels or stressful launches?
