It'll fit. It may require some grinding, but it'll fit. Take the TA apart and try and get just the rear mount to fit. Find out where it's interfering and if it's not much (it won't be), then just clearance it with a grinder.

For different reasons, plenty of people have to do this sort of things. I had to grind the very tip of the corner off the rear of my UMI TA to fit on my 8.8".

What rear end are you trying to install this on? Also what set of holes are you using? You want to use the outer holes on a stock rear.

Pictures would be great as well, we have never had a issue before. Unless this is a 9", I know 9" rear end will require some heavy grinding on our non-adjustable torque arm.

Give me some information and possible pictures and I am sure we can figure it out.

Thanks,
Ryan

If you want to just e-mail to me that is fine as well- sales@umipeformance.com

We have installed and sold many of the non-adjustable arms with no troubles so I am sure it is something we can figure out. One thing you can note, if the powder coat is heavy it may not let the arm slide on fully. It may require some sanding of the powder coat to allow it to slide on completely. Between GM tolerances and trying to hold a powder coat thickness this is common.

Let me know how it works out.

Ryan

well jus got the car back from the exhaust shop and we cant put it over to the holes.. it needs a quarter to half a inch of grinding.. that is unacceptable for a $220 piece (got it from byunspeed) anyway we could get this swapped out UMI???

Hello, Please send me pictures as mentioned before so I can see whats going on and see if I can help. Like I mentioned early we have sold and installed a large number of these with no issues or ever a complaint. I am not saying its not the torque arm but If it isn't and some other issue sending a new one will do no good, I need to determine the problem to help fix it.

Please it at all possible I need pictures of what the issue is.

Thanks,
Ryan

Gun5, maybe you should have your 'mechanic' contact Ryan. Again, what holes are you attempting to use to install it?

It sure seems weird that everbody's TA will bolt up but yours... especially since this piece is cut out on the same CNC program theirs was.

I say have your mechanic talk to UMI.
