i broke a wheel stud and i'm having a hard time getting the old one out. i have traction control and i took out the sensor and i knocked the broken stud loose but the stud will not come out all the way. it is hitting a gear inside. how do i do this?

If nothing else works, get a magnet. It fell in somehow - pull it out the same way. Chopsticks can also help.
