i have a bad groaning/rubbing noise in my right front when i turn left at moderate speeds. I.E. going around a turn at 45 MPH. sounds like a brake caliper rubbing into metal when your pads go bye bye. but its not that because im not on the brakes. WTF? help please? the car only has 45K miles on it and idk what the problem could be.

check the brakes first, if they are ok then your more than likely looking at a hub assembly. Even though your not hitting the brakes, the flex from all the joints in the front end can cause the inner or outter pad to apply force to the rotor, nothing extreme, just enough for it to squeek or rub. I am putting money on it that your hub assembly is bad. F-bodies are kinda known for it. both of mine that i have owned, i have put new hub assembly's in them due to the fact that they go out at low mileage.

Check your power steering reservoir and make sure it isn't low. If it is, check for leaks. Mine groaned when I made left turns because the left side seal on the rack let go.

BTW i know there is a certain way to put an F-body up on a lift. can anyone tell me or direct me to where i can find out so i dont screw up any body alignment. thanks
