Replace Pads, Rotors, or Both?

Replace Pads, Rotors, or Both? I tried searching and looked through the stickies but still have a question. I replaced my front pads and rotors with some slotted/cross-drilled ones. Basically the brakes suck unless I slam on them and are only good for one 90-30 stop. After that they get real hot and don't want to stop whatsoever. I am pretty much wondering if you guys think it's the pad or rotors. I would like to replace whichever is the weak link and prefer not to have to do both but I will if I have to. Thanks and let me know if you need more info.

Replace the brake fluid with a new & better fluid (ex: ATE Superblue) and perform a thrurough bleed. Re-do the pad & rotor break-in procedure. If the problem persists, the pads may have glazed over. In that case, get some new pads and opt up for something more aggressive.

I did bleed the system. But used regular brake fluid, I can't remember which one though. I'll try doing it again with better fluid and if not, I'll change the pads.
