I feel stupid posting this with as long as I have been here but I am at a loss.
First I had a shop do the work and not myself. I had them install Bilstein HDs in front with the stock springs. I have a 2001 ws6 (Trans Am). After the install I had a loud clunk from the passenger side and the stabalizer bar sounded like it was binding occasionally on the driver side.
They said it was becasue I needed a hub replaced on the passenger side and showed me the play in the wheel. So, they replaced the hub.
Well, I still get a clank noise and it is from both front tires when going slow or mildly fast over quick little bumps.
My questions:
Is this normal with the Bilstein HDs with stock spings?
They checked all areas and everything is tight but could they have installed something incorrectly?
FWIW they have done work for me in the past and they did me good so I do not think they are screwing me over but you never know. And I am not the guy that likes to do all the work myself.

The nut holding the upper shock mount to the shock shaft is loose. Can't be checked without pulling it off the car and compressing the spring. Happens all the time.

I am sure that they are avoiding that saying it is fine for that reason.
