Default brakes stuck

i just changed the front rotors, and got some hawk pads....i pushed the pistons back in as far as they could go, put the new pad in, and new rotors...drivers side went in smooth.....passanger side went in so tight the wheel dont turn. put it all together thinking after a couple of feet of driving, it will adjust to normal...nottt.

what could i have forgoten, or done wrong for this to happen...ive done a rotor and pads swap plenty of times....

any help appreciated.

You might check the thickness of the new rotors. That happened to me once and one rotor was too thick.

please tell me you took off the fluid res. cap before you tried to push the pistons back? if you didnt.. you might have hurt something. trust me.. i did this when I was 17 on my 1st camaro.. 86 Iroc... I couldnt figure out why i couldnt get the piston to move back enough.. poped the fluid res cap... so the fluid can run back up..

with the cap undone. you shouldnt need a huge amount of force to make the piston go back

Did you check the slider pins to make sure they slide freely?
Remove, inspect, clean, regrease (with high-temp disk brake grease), and re-install as neccessary. Also check their rubber boots for damage and replace any that are damaged.

That's my guess as well. It's a pretty common problem around here.

HAHA.
I got lazy.
I saw both threads and copy-and-pasted my response into both.
