The the original poster, where do you think the saying "As stiff as necessary, as soft as possible" comes from. In my previous car, its springs were way to stiff without enough control from the shocks. It felt like my car was about to bounce out of control at higher speeds. Take the effort to learn about the options, THEN start buying parts. Do it right the first time.

Go to frrax.com and do some reading there. ORR/RR guys have setups somewhat similar to what you're looking at. You can check the sponsors over there as well as there are a few that deal with this type of thing.

You'll find you'll be more interested in cooling of various driveline pieces and shocks, springs and swaybars than anything else.
