Default How important is torqing suspension parts?

I repl front and rear springs, swaybars, adj PHB but didn't have a torque wrench. Is it a big enough deal to go buy one or does it matter? I am also doing my brakes this weekend. Do I need them there? Thoughts . . .

If you do the majority of all the work on your car its a smart decision to invest in one. Its a small price to pay so you wont have to worry about thoes things being tight enough when you start to hammer on the car.

How big a deal is it if one of your suspention parts brake when your going over 100mph?

I wouldn't do brakes with out one.

I don't put rims on with out one either, fast way to warp brakes.

I agree. Torque to spec. The ONLY exception on a 4th gen is the lower front control arm bolts. If you torque those to spec you'll be re-setting the alignment a lot, especially if you use race tires and run bumpy lots/tracks. I over torque those nuts to avoid them slipping. Friction as a load path really sucks....

What do you torque them to?

I'm going from memory on what the factory spec is (I think it is between 90 and 100 ft-lbs) and I torque another 25 ft lbs.
