Default Bendix Carbon pads & Bendix blanks

I am thinking of buying a set of Bendix Carbon pads along with a new set of Bendix blanks. I don't race my Z28 but I live in the mountains and drive the snot out of it. I've got a lot of trouble with warping rotors. Anyone use my proposed setup before, and if so, how was it?

a lot of warped rotors are from over tight lugs, do you tighten your own?

I have the Bendix carbon pads and like them, great feel even cold. My .02 cents is try the pads first.

As luck would have it I got a call today that my Brembo blanks are off backorder and I can have them after all. So I added some PBR pads and I'll be good for a while.

Thanks.

The Bendix stuff is stocked at Advance Auto. The Brembo blanks and PBR pads are from Strano Parts, www.stranoparts.com

Many warped rotors are due to improper brake cooling. If you're beating on the car on a mountain road and come sliding into your driveway at 60 mph (without ever letting the brakes cool from the last 10 miles of corners) and park the car, the heat can warp rotors. Part of the rotor is under the caliper and will cool at a different rate than the rest of the rotor. The best thing to do is to take it easy for at least 2 miles before parking the car. This will give the rotors time to cool down to a reasonable level where you're less likely to have problems with warpage.

Just something to consider.
