Default lca install time

for those that put some lca's in yourself (which i'm guessing is the majority), how long did it take you to get everything on and bolted up? i'm supposed to be getting my umi lca's and adj phb on friday and would like to put them on before a local track day on saturday. also, would i need to adjust the phb at all once everything is on?

If you are happy with the current left-right wheel
location then you can remove the old, adjust the
new to identical length on the driveway and just
bolt it up.

Neither takes very long.

I have the UMI adj panhard and it has a lefthand thread so, you can adjust it without removing it. Getting close to the stock length first would be ideal though.
Also, for the adj. suspension parts aren't we supposed to use a external thread locker?
Is it okay to adjust with the suspension under load?

nope, when you adjust the panhard rod make sure both rear tires are off the pavement. Just put the rear on jackstands and adjust it accordingly. Like someone said earlier, if you have stock ride height adjust it to the stock length and then make the changes you want from there. It doesnt take long at all to do the LCAs and panhard rod. I'd say an hour with adjusting. Maybe a little longer if its the first time you have worked with the rear suspension stuff. Easy job though, good luck!

depends on tools and such...
in my driveway with shitty supply of tools...2 hours to install panhard rod...
on my neighbors lift with a whole lotta tools.. 1 hour to install lower control arms, relocation brackets, and re install panhard rod (adjusted this time)

It took me about 30-40 mins to install the lca's and the adj panhard bar, and thats with a car lift at a DIY shop which made these installs easy to do. Plus I had the suspension unloaded when I did the installs. The suspension then was loaded for the tighten all bolts on the lca's and phb to spec.

taken from umi's website

Our tubular “on-car” adjustable panhard bar replaces the flimsy stock stamped panhard bar while adding increased strength and rear end adjustment. This is a must for rear end centering after vehicle lowering, as well as clearance for running larger tires. The supplied CNC machined double adjuster features left and right hand threads for quick and easy on-car adjustments by simply loosening (2) jam nuts and does not require removal of panhard bar from the vehicle. The spherical rod end/polyurethane bushing combination eliminates most rear end “bind” while not sacrificing your ride quality; this is an excellent improvement for your street or drag application. As well as easy adjustments, our heavy duty panhard bar also increases rear stability, controls side movement and body flex

Geese, it took you that long? I did my LCAs in like 30 min. Did my panhard bar in like 5 min. If I saw this tread sooner, I could of gave you some tips.

Besides that, did they help at all?
