Default LCA Relo Brackets

Well I recently purchased some LCA's and SFC's from UMI and thought since I am about to put them on here over thanksgiving break why not get some relo brackets while I am at it. I am thinking about just spending the extra few dollars and getting the bolt on ones unless they jsut suck that way i could take them off the axle if I ever wanted to do something with it. Do you guys think the bolt on relo brackets will be ok? Also where is the best site to find them the cheapest right now. I saw some UMI ones on byunspeed for 85 right now any better places

i have the umi ones. the lca's themselves are very easy to install. the relocation brackets gave me trouble. you'll need a hammer/mallet to get them on.

So the bolt on ones aren't going to be shakey or anything they will be strong enough. I mean I have read a lot of stuff saying the sfc's are some what better to weld in but I know this is a little bit different. Also what about that stupid caliper weight what is the deal with that thing?

you have to grind it down a bit, no biggie. The weld in brkts are better for the same reason weld in subframes are better.

Hello,

You will be fine with either the bolt in or weld in, both work excellent. The bolt-ins will not cause any addtional noise and work just as well. If you can't weld or don't know anybody that can then I recommend to go with the bolt in style.

On the brake weight, out of all the sets we have installed we have never actually had to trim it, they fit good. If you ever would have to, its a round rubber weight that just needs a tiny bit trimmed off and is very simple. But again, you shouldn't have to do that.

Hope that helps!

bolt on is the way to go with anything.

just make sure to use blue loctite. dont use red unless you plan on not taking anything off.
