I've warped my way through 6 complete sets of GM rotors that weren't directional either

That's because the GM OE rotors do not have a significant amount of mass to deal with the heat dissipated from the pads, but another cause can be from runout from improper bed-in, which over time can lead to warping as well. The better of blank rotors are Brembo OE replacement, since they have more mass for the given dimension (slighty heavier but last considerably longer).

While I haven't "warped" any of the drilled/slotted rotors I've had, I didn't even get a chance to before they developed cracks, and when cracks develop, the rotors must be replaced. The cracks were so obvious, I didn't even have to use dye and developer to spot them, and when they're that obvious, disaster isn't too far in the future.

From what I've heard, the C6 ZO6's have angled internal vanes, but use the same part number for both sides
