Default Rusted Rotors

Well I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this thread but I figured it was. Anyway, I'm storing my car in the garage until May. I just came home for the holiday and pulled the cover to check everything out. Well the rotors already have a coating of rust over them. Is there anything I can do about this, or are the rotors going to be shot by May? I hope not because there is only about 5k on them and they are coated powerslots.

When you drive it, they will clean off. Unless it's really humid there, they should just get a bit of surface rust and nothing too deep. A quick spin around the block will usually clean them right up.

Like Kevin mentioned, its totally normal to develop surface rust on the contact surface of the rotor (its bare metal after all) when exposed to even small amounts of moisture. This is usually most noticeable while washing the car when, after only a few minutes, you have developed surface rust on the rotors. In my experience even just a quick drive around the block usually gets rid of it.

Yeah my car was stored for a while and the rotors got some surface rust but like they said after you drive for like 10 minutes they will clean off.
