Default Need shock recommendations for a friend's '95 Z28

A friend of mine has over 200k miles on his car and wants to replace his shocks. He doesn't really want/need to spend a whole lot of money on a set. I'm sure anything at this point would be much better than what he has because he has never replaced his shocks. What do you guys recommend for front and rear? I guess we'll use the "best bang for the buck" shock for now, then work with it from there. Thanks.

Any particular shock at any particular auto parts store? He did mention to me that he just doesn't want to put any shock in, that he wants to improve the ride quality. Again, I'm sure with over 200k miles on the shocks, anything will do. I know that it squeeks in the back because I drove it yesterday and I'm sure its from old, dry, worn out bushings. Anyhow, I figured there was something popular that was being used for a decent price.

I went ahead and ordered the Bilstein shocks for him. I hope I made a good choice for him. Again, he wasn't looking to spend a whole lot of money on a set, but wanted an improved ride. Its a daily driver that he uses for work and with shocks that have never been swapped even after over 200k miles, I'm sure anything would be better. Thanks for the tip!
