Question Earls Solo Bleeders/Steel brake lines/new fluid-gotta ?

Hey guys, I was going to install these bleeders, the 6 steel brake line kit from WS6 Store, and some fresh brake fuild....

Does anyone have experience with this bleeders...do they realy make it easier to bleed...AND, what is the best way to drain all brake fluid prior to filling her up with the fresh GM brake fluid?

(oh yeah one more thing, is there a write up on how to bleed the right way on these cars, i am looking for tips and tricks, thats all)

THANKS!

Erik

The bleeders, when new, seem to work great. After a few heart cycles, though, I had trouble keeping them sealed to prevent air from going back into the caliper.

You don't drain the system. The system needs to remain solid.

The way I've had the best luck is to take a $2 turkey baster and suck as much fluid out of the MC as you can. Then refill the MC with new fluid. This reduces the amount of contamination the new fluid sees.

Then bleed the brakes, keeping the MC full.

Bleed the brakes beginning at the passenger rear, then to the driver's rear, then to the passenger front and then to the driver's front.

I bleed the brakes till I've used up all the fluid in the container and the MC is full. Open container brake fluid has a very short shelf life.
