Default How to convert drums to rotors?

My friends Camaro (v6) has drums in the rear.. and he wants discs so when he gets nice wheels it doesn't look dumb. Any conversion kits for this? Or if we go to a junkyard and get stuff is it straight foward?

Salvage yard.. get the backing plates, rotors, lines, calipers, parking brake cables, pads. You will have to pull the axles out to swap the backing plates. I did that conversion to my old 3.4l v6. and bought all the parts from billy graham's f-body salvage for a few hundred bucks.

Go to the yard and price out all that stuff. See if you can figure out what they want before you pull it. There is a chance they might just sell you the whole rear, which would be a bolt in affair, for nearly the same.

You might want to swap R&Ps or something, maybe replace the bearings, but if you have a rear with drums on it, it's probably time to rebuild it anyhow.
