It's KYB, not KYG. And you get exactly what you pay for. The settings are adjustable, but they are very coarse changes, many of which just suck. And it's cheap because the adjuster changes both compression and rebound together, which is a tuning no-no. One controls upsrung weight, the other sprung weight. You can't change them together and really do a decent job of damping things.

Fact is if you want adjustable shocks that work, you have to have Koni's. If you want really good dampers and it's more of a cost thing, then you have options in the Bilstein range (from HD's to Revalves depending on a number of things). Only those two brands have properly functioning dampers for this car. That does NOT mean that any Bilstein is ok for any car. Just that the way the shocks work in terms of piston speed, etc. is correct. Damping levels will need to vary, which is why there are various types of Bilstein's....

I'm not saying Koni's are the only answer. They are the answer that completely covers your butt, but a set of Revalves are also an option as well with lowering springs. If you can swing it Koni's are a better choice because you can tweak them as you see fit, but that's up to you. I run Koni's on my car, and I'm the guy responsible for the Revalved Bilstein's. I just think the adjustment is a worth while thing to have. Not everyone does, but needs more damping than a HD can supply--hence the reason Revalves exist.
