Default Will a lightweight k-member decrease my 60 foot times significantly?

I have a 2002 Z28 that I daily drive and run at the dragstrip a few times a year. I'm thinking about buying a tubular k-member to save weight in the front-end so that I can possibly get better 60 foot times. Is this a worthwile modification just for getting better 60 foot times? or will I just be wasting my money? Thanks in advance for the info.

It might drop your 60' .01 if anything. Most people buy them for overall weight loss and added access to the bottom of the engine. Looking at your mod list, I'd do alot of things before a k-member.

I Doubt The The K-member Alone Will Make A Difference. In Addition To The K-member Dd Some Tublar A-arms, Qa1 Coils Over Shocks, Rock Battery And Of A Sudden You've Lost 50 Lbs. Most Of It Unsprung Weight Front End Weight. Add Some Light Weight Wheels And Tires Up Front And You've Lost More Unsprung Weight Plus Rolling Enertia Weight. All Of This Will Add Up To Lower Times, I Would Guesstimate At Least A Tenth In The Quarter Or More.

About the same as any other 30 lb off the nose. And
more expensive than most other weight reduction. I
saw a 2.0 60' best post-K vs 2.1s generally pre-K. It
seemed to be "in the noise" to me although after the
swap I could feel the nose lift slightly more on accel.
Someone with a better tires / suspension setup might
benefit more. To which point, think about better tires
first, then see what those might want for rear suspension
to back them up.
