Solid motor mounts installed
Solid motor mounts installed I just finished installing Spohn solid mounts with my QTP LT's last night and wanted to share my experience with this product. Before doing this mod I asked around for peoples input. With a few exceptions everyone told me don't do solid mounts the vibrations will be terrible, solid is for track only cars, it can crack your block, it will cause knock retard, yada yada. So far they cause only very little additional vibration over my shot stock mounts. Change does not rattle in my cupholder And my car actually makes less rattling sounds! My engine doesn't move at all and I'll never have to go though the hell of replacing my mounts again! All in all I am very satisfied so far. Don't let the rumors and heresay deter you if your considering solid mounts. They're feel great!
It apears from your sig that you are running a stock cam instead of a big, hairy aftermarket cam that really causes the engine to jump around. I wonder what the vibration inside the car would be like with one of the big cams.
