I didn't have any clunking noise when I installed mine. You might want to check to see if everything is still tight, the upper bolt on the TA bushing is a pain sometimes.

I just did mine and didnt have any issues. Double check the top bolt, its hard to get to and easily overlooked. Youve got something loose still.

I agree...The only thing the torque arm does is slide just a bit in the front bushing, as the rear end rises and falls with road variations. Changing to a poly bushing doesn't create a place for a "clunk" to happen unless something's still loose.

When I first put my poly bushing on, I didn't tighten it enough and had the symptoms you describe. The reason this happens is because the front of the TA bangs up/down as you brake /accelerate.

Make SURE the top bolt is tight!! And I had to use red loctite to be sure it would NOT come out while driving.

Also, check the tranny mount by jacking up the bottom of the tranny a bit. The torque arm pushes the tranny up on hard accel. and can cause a weak mount to hit the steel safety stop built into the mount.

I installed a poly torque arm mount in my car a few weeks ago. No issue to speak of.

Sounds like something is out of adjustment, just changing the bushing won't cause the torque arm to clunk around unless something is loose or malaligned
