Default Subframe connectors?

What do all of you run? I was looking at the cheaper $115 ones, or the SLP ones with cross braces. Any ideas? Thanks guys

buy the cheap tubular ones. You won't be able to tell any difference between the two units on the car.

However if you go with the "cheaper" built units you may run into fitment and quality issues.

We have a nice selection of either bolt ons or weld ins in the link below. If you have any questions please ask.

Is there a real noticable difference between the bolt on's and the weld in's?

I put some threadlock and torque'd em down w/ an impact wrench...
but just to make me feel better, I'm gonna weld em anyways man. I don't think you can "feel" any difference, but over time the bolts do get loose.

I know with second gen camaro's/firebird's you have to modify the floor for the weld in sub connectors. is this true for the 4th gens also?

No modifications needed to run SLPs or UMIs (other than minor heat shield trimming on some).
I'd go w the 3pts.
UMIs will give you better ground clearance. I had the SLPs, I think you can actually see them hanging under the car in my sig photo (and definately in some of my photo bucket pics (sig link). I have since sold my SLPs. I intend to get UMI 3pts IF I put some on again. UMI offers great quality-good price-and I feel superior design due to better clearance, and the fact that they attatch to both sides of the LCA pocket (SLP only 1 side).
In most cases (UMI and SLP 4 sure) you can get the bolt ins, for easy install, and just eventually weld in.
Long story short---> Id recomend UMI 3pt bolt ins!

**As you know if you searched...SFCs may produce increased ride harshness and noise (that was the case w my SLPs). And some feel they are unnecessary as 4th gens are pretty solid. The exception being if you are a drag racer w sticky tires-then they seem needed.

they are pretty sweet. i like the fact that they hang below the frame a bit, its good for us lowered cars. the SFC act as scrapers to prevent other stuff from getting owned by bumps.
