Switching to Redline Synthetic PS fluid
From some research on this board I have decided to switch to Redline synthetic power steering fluid. I have a couple questions....
First, is it necessary to flush the old PS fluid out using something like Seafoam to make sure all of the old non-synthetic oil is completely gone. I know its bad to mix dino oil with synthetic most of the time, just want to make sure that is the case here.
Second, does anyone have a good write up for flushing out the PS pump? I tried a search but came up with few useful results.
Thanks ahead of time.

I usually get a cheap turkey baster and suck as much fluid out of the reservoir as I can and fill with Redline. I'll drive it a few days and do that again (once the fluid cools, you don't want to melt the plastic baster). Eventually, you'll get the bulk of it switched over (usually in a bottle or two). If you empty the system, you'll still have fluid in the rack, and I prefer not to have to jack up the front to bleed the rack (turn the wheel to both sides with the tires in the air to work the air out of the rack if it's empty).
There may be a better way, but that's how I've always done them.
