there is nothing to grease on the stock suspenision. The rack & pinion steering took out all the front greasing parts. You can grease aftermarket susp. parts if you get them with grease fittings.

Just don't put 2 squirts of ANYTHING in there. If you have polyurathane bushings your gonna want to use a synthetic grease or a marine based grease. A petroleum based grease will eat away your bushings.

With the UMI LCAs, how does one get the old grease out and the new stuff in? The only experience I have with greasing parts is that you pump in enough new grease to cause the old grease to leak out of somewhere, and you keep squirting until new grease is coming out.

The UMI ones seem to "fill up" and I don't see anywhere the old grease could come out of. I want to change the grease in them to synthetic (only had petroleum-based on hand at the moment), but I have no idea how to get the old stuff out.

I use Mobil 1 syn. All you need is one pump, Dont pump until you see grease pushing out the bushing. They dont need that much grease. I know thats how you grease all other stuff, but these suspen. parts dont really move that much.

UMI sells Synth. Grease as an option with they're stuff. That's what I bought. Get yourself a cheap greasegun ($14 at Sears) and you're set.
These forums are the **** for information, Aren't They?
