Default strut mount bolt change?

well, i've overtorqued my front strut mount nut and the bolt break. Is the bolt changing without pulling out all the shock assembly (I suppose that the bolt is "pressfit" in the strut mount) removing the coil spring and just buy another bolt to replace the broken one?

I'm not sure how the factory assembles the mount, but if the bolt is knurled and then pressed in, you should be able to use a punch to get it out - If it's tacked/welded in, then I would take it out. I believe there is access to get a new bolt in from underneath (at least the front one), but I don't think the dealership will be able to supply one. You may be able to substitute with a standard bolt... Just get a good quallity bolt & lock-nut and torque it down properly - It just might take two people to get it tight.
