Is it hitting while jacked up or on the ground? If you've got it jacked up by the differential, it shouldn't hit at all. If you've got the differential hanging, I might understand.

What is the purpose of a panhard bar relocation bracket? Not trying to be rude, I am just curious.

Panhard bar is supposed to be parallel to the ground. When you lower it, it is no longer level and you need the relocation bracket to make it level again.

You've got that mixed up with LCAs. LCAs are supposed to be parallel with the ground, not the PHB. The PHB relocation bracket is to allow larger exhaust to fit.

I could see if the PHB was in loaded position at an angle depending on your ride height, I suppose the rear might be more apt to shift side to side throughout the shocks range of movement?

straight off Unbalanced Engineerings website:

"Laser cut steel brackets that relocate the panhard rod to lower the rear roll center 4 inches and also level it for lowered cars. These brackets result in additional rear grip in all phases of cornering. They require a panhard rod with 0.75" rod ends and a welded installation."

I know the LCA's are supposed to be parallel to the ground. I wasn't aware of the panhard bar issue until I ran across a relocation bracket in Jegs that basically states the same thing Sik02ss posted.

its mainly something for RRs, auto-x's, and canyon carvers....so to say you've never heard of it on here before is a good explanation why

Are you sure the panhard bar isn't hitting the heat shield not the tank? The most common thing we have seen is the shield over time will sag slightly and the relocation bar will hit it. Most people just take it off or there car is already missing it.
