Default lca qusetion

Ive heard if u buy boxed lca that have polly bushings on both ends you will have less traction during connering due to the wheel lifting up because of the stiff bushings. has anyone had bad luck with double polly ends? thanks

The problem is suspension bind. Stock arms are built to flex, allowing rear axle articulation. When you have boxed w firm bushings, the firm bushing fights deflection, and the boxed LCA does not flex as the stocker did. This fights the axle movement relative to the chassis. It only allows straight up or straight down, no body roll. This unloads or lifts the inside wheel in a corner, which obviously takes away traction.

Personally I think LCAs are overrated. But if you really want them, get sherical bearings (rod ends) on one or both sides. This will allow the articulation, and eliminate the bushing deflection of the oem rubber bushing. Another, cheaper option is to replace the factory bushings in the stock LCAs w 1LE bushings (harder rubber) or ploy bushings. Bear in mind though that rod ends and ploy bushings will transmit more noise and vibration. Both will also tend to wear faster than OEM rubber.
