I run the factory switch that came with the SLP line lock. No need to have some nifty switch for a line lock in my opinion. But then again, I am not into flashy **** in the car, and I am not into making something insugnificant into something significant.

Nice switches 2_wacko...

Mike#9, your switch is not NHRA legal and actually rather unsafe considering you have no additional circuitry to deactivate your system when not in use...if you switch it on by accident, it will stay on of which you would never know until you hit your brakes. Stealth switches are nice as well, we've got our kits setup with small switches (master switch and control switch) of which you can place just about anywhere and fit in very well with the interior decor.

2000 vette with button mounted on steering shaft adjuster. No problem with miscues and it is easy to use.

If you want to get real slick, you can use an DPDT switch and have your horn function as a mult-use button....i.e. Line lock OR horn :-).

Would the purge button work like the push button in the SJM LineLock?

If it's a momentary button which I'm assuming it is...it will function the same. It's not a good idea to use an on/off non-momentary button for the control of the solenoid.

they didnt make many of them, I got it last year when I went to a show for our parts supplyer, I got a REALLY good deal on the set up to test it and advertise it for them, couple months later I called them again wanting another one for a guy on another forum and they wernt making them allready. they only made a test run batch of around 100 as far as I know, I had bought 2 of them, I have one and my friend has one I put in his truck for him.

Switched from SJM and put a extra where the quaters went, fabbed them up to fit where the coins where. I just need to find a way to hide the wires.

I use my factory ASR switch since I installed the SJM kit. Works perfect, and you'd never know it sitting in the car. Momentary switch, so its NHRA legal. Shift into 1st with the clutch in, pump and hold brakes, press line lock button, give gas and release clutch, release line lock button, push clutch in.

I was going to get that Nitrous Outlet plate, but I think I can do everything without needing that. I'm going to get another foglight switch for my nitrous arm, another ASR switch for nitrous purge, and the bottle heater circuit will get activated with the arming switch (and is pressure transducer-controlled so I won't need to manually turn it on/off).

Figured I didn't want the CAMARO nameplate right there on my dash anymore since I ordered my head unit mount that'll say CAMARO Z28 anyways.

Default My line lock setup

here is the setup that I am running. Its a Nitrous Daves ashtray mounted switch and a Hurst T handle. To turn the line lock on you have to use the arm switch on the nitrous plate and hold in the T handle.
I did not like the idea of just running the toggle switch that came with the kit, so this way there is no chance of someone accidently activating the system.[IMG][/IMG]
