Is it bad to have Different size tires? Like 275 Fronts/315 rears?
Reason i ask is it seems that the back end likes to slide out more now that the tires at all 4 corners arent the same size. Or is it just because the tires suck and the weight of the engine is keeping the front down, and the rear slides cuz theres no weight?
I used to have 275's all around on 18x9.5 inch rims. Pilot sports all around. I then bought new rims, 18x9.5 in front. 18x10.5 in back. I was suppose to be getting Pilot Sports but the guy didnt mention they were Pilot Sport A/S =(.
So is the back end sliding out on turns because the tires are ****? Or because of the difference in front and rear size.
Thanks

Not a fair comparison if you switch tire type also. I like to run equal sized tires all around for balance, car seems better controled that way. For the street I don't think its a big deal. But for track days and high speed autocross it seems most feel larger rears create an exit push (understeer). Seems most the Road Race guys run 275s all around or 315s-all around.

I have 17" Pilot Sport A/S on my GTP, they suck for dry traction and are terrible in the snow. The back end slides around corners like it's a RWD. These are 235/55/17. Can't wait for them to wear out.
