Default Which Hawk Pads

I see Hawk HPS (high performance street) and Hawk Ceramics. They are about the same price and both say low dust, low wear, and quiet. This is for my girlfriends V6 firebird that sees 35mph 90% of the time. I don't neccessarily need a pad with a huge bite. Just no noise and low dust.
Also, I called AutoZone to confirm something for me and the guy told me the opposite of what I thought. He said ceramic pads are noisy and create alot of dust and that Carbon Metallic/semi-metallics were quiet and create very little dust. I thought it was just the opposite?

That guy does not know what he is talking about. The ceramics are the low dust ones. But I agree with the above statement, just get the stock pads.

I have heard ceramics can be squeaky? but they are supposed to leave less dust for sure. I have Hawk high performance or whatever and they seem to dust a little worse than stock? but then again it could just be from rolling on blown GTs and slowing before the cops LOL
