Default Help me Sam with Bilstein HD

I bought a set of HD's you and I am having trouble putting them on. I did a search + looked on bilstein website ond did not find any answers. I can get the shocks off the car and the springs out but I can't get the front bump stop looking object off of the shock. Do I need this part and if I need it how does it come off (unscrewed or hit it off)?

Thanks for the link, but it does not help b/c they use a different type of spring that does not use all of the OEM type hardware. I got everything apart and moving forward.

are you talking about the upper control-arm piece on top of the spring and shock? If so, it's probably just rusted tight. All I did on both sides was turned it upside down, get a rubber hammer, and knock it off of there. Just be careful not to hit the rubber bushings

The only difference would be the coilover. Instead of a coilover you will just use the perch that comes with the shock. Other than that, the instructions are pretty much the same.

Not sure what part you are having problems with? Did you get the front spring off the front shock? Here's another writeup with pics using the stock style shocks instead of coil overs. See if this helps.

Everything just comes off, nothing is bolted once you get the upper mount off. You might have to tap the gold cap on the top of the shock body a touch to get it off so you can get the spring perch off.
