Default is removing the springs/shocks the same on lt1 as on ls1?

i have an lt1 and i just bought some prokit springs, i have a write up on how to replace the springs on an ls1 but i was just wondering if they were the same. Also the shocks on my lt1 are probably a little worn out 73k miles, and i have an almost new set of 02 shocks from my 02 trans am that i sold, will these work fine until i can save up enough for some bilsteins?
