Bought my current 4th-gen from the original owner about a year-and-a-half ago with 150,000 miles on the clock. The previous owner installed weld-in SFCs when the car was brand new, and it has defintely made a difference in that the car has no squeeks and rattles, doesn't make any weird noises pulling out of driveways, nor does it have any weird dimples in the body.
Having owned 2 previous 4th-gens without SFCs, I noticed a big difference in how the tight the car feels, but the handling and cornering feels no different than the other two.
I never had much of an opinion about SFCs before, but my current experience has definitely made me a believer, at least in the case of the F-bodies.
