Default Another grinding brake question

Last year I replaced my rotors with some drilled and slotted. I noticed a kinda creacking, grinding noise from the passenger rear. Did my searching and thought maybe clean up the pins and lube them, no help. The noise pulsates as I reduce speed. Any suggestions would help. thanks

If you feel the brake pedal pulsing as you come to a stop, like its grabing, going, grabbing. Then you have a warped rotor. Dont waste your time getting them cut, just replace them as cutting them doesnt make the rotor straight again.

No its not in the peddle its the sound that pulsates, could it be the emergency brake rubbing? I'm gonna pull it all apart again and start over and hope I can find the source.

I talked to one of the local performance shops that works on the F-bodies here in OKC. They have seen some cases including just recently with some of the Baer Eradispeeds that the rotor was warped from the factory.

I would pull the rotors, lube the riding area where the emergency brake shoes rides on the backing plate. Check the pins again to make sure they are lubricated and clean, make sure the pin dust boot it not torn. Make sure when the emergency brake is applied that both sides of the rear brakes are applied and holding and that one of the adjusters is not over adjusted causing the E-brake to drag.

Also drilled and slot cut rotors can be turned. I ahve turned mine with no issues and as long as the shop is competant and is using on of the newer brake lathes there should be no issues turning the rotors.

Problem solved, I m a dumb a$$! I thought the noise was coming from the rear, NOT! I pulled the front caliper, cleaned the pins, Peretex the pad, all better now. Thanks for all the help.
