Another grinding brake question
I would pull the rotors, lube the riding area where the emergency brake shoes rides on the backing plate. Check the pins again to make sure they are lubricated and clean, make sure the pin dust boot it not torn. Make sure when the emergency brake is applied that both sides of the rear brakes are applied and holding and that one of the adjusters is not over adjusted causing the E-brake to drag.
Also drilled and slot cut rotors can be turned. I ahve turned mine with no issues and as long as the shop is competant and is using on of the newer brake lathes there should be no issues turning the rotors.
